Dusty truck? Washed by hand, not by brush.
A few minutes west of Lakeside, on Magnolia Ave in Santee — the closest place that will take a genuinely dirty vehicle and clean it by hand, panel by panel, without dragging the grit around with it.
Why dirt makes the method matter more
Vehicles out of Lakeside tend to arrive with more on them — dirt roads, dust off the back country, trailer grime, a summer of towing. That's precisely the situation where an automatic tunnel does the most damage: the brushes pick up the grit off your truck and then push it around the paint, and they do the same to the next vehicle in line.
Washing by hand means the heavy stuff gets rinsed off first and the dirt leaves with the water instead of getting ground into the clear coat. It's slower. On a truck that's been working, it's the only sensible way to do it.
Big vehicles are normal here
Lifted 4x4s, dually pickups, long-bed work trucks, vans, family SUVs coming back from the lake — all routine. Large vehicles have their own pricing tier on every package, so you know before you arrive that a truck isn't priced like a sedan and there's no awkward recalculation at the counter.
- Wash packages — Deluxe at $30 for cars, $35 for trucks, SUVs and vans, up to the Total Look.
- Detailing — interiors that have carried tools, dogs or dirt for a decade; exteriors that need real protection before the next summer.
- Paste, silicon and ceramic hand wax — applied by hand, for finishes that live outdoors.

Book it rather than chance it
We're open seven days — Monday to Saturday 8am–6pm, Sunday 8am–5pm — and a booked slot means you're not sitting behind three other trucks when you get here. There's no payment online and no deposit; you settle up at the shop when the work is finished and you've had a look at it.
Do you wash trucks, SUVs, vans and lifted vehicles?
Yes. Large vehicles have their own pricing tier on every package, and 25+ years of hand washing means we’ve handled everything from daily drivers to dually trucks.
Do you serve El Cajon, Lakeside and La Mesa?
Every day. Magnolia Ave runs straight up from El Cajon, Lakeside is a few minutes east, and La Mesa is a short drive southwest — a lot of our regulars come from outside Santee because a true hand wash is hard to find.
How much does a car wash cost in Santee?
Our Deluxe Hand Wash — exterior hand wash, windows in and out, full interior vacuum, wheels and tires — starts at $30 for cars and $35 for trucks, SUVs and vans. Every wash and detail package, with current pricing, is listed on the wash packages page. Final price is confirmed at the shop because it varies with vehicle size, and EVs are extra.
What detailing services do you offer?
Full interior and exterior detailing — Complete Detail Service, Exterior Detail, Interior Detail, Dupont Teflon and Carnauba paste wax, and silicon or ceramic hand wax. There are also Express Mini Details, each of which includes a Super Deluxe wash.
