Is Magnolia Car Wash really a 100% hand wash?
Yes. Every vehicle is washed by hand, by people — no automatic tunnel, no spinning brushes, no cloth strips dragging the last car’s grit across your paint. Soft mitts and clean water are what touch your clear coat.
Where is Magnolia Car Wash in Santee?
We’re at 8931 Magnolia Ave, Santee, CA 92071 — on Magnolia Ave, the main north–south street through Santee, so you can get here from almost anywhere in East County without touching a freeway. Parking and the wash lanes are on site.
What are your hours?
We’re open seven days a week: Monday through Saturday 8am–6pm, and Sunday 8am–5pm. Online booking stays open right up until closing.
Do I need an appointment for a car wash?
Booking online is the surest way to get the day and time you want — it takes under a minute, no payment needed, and we have your car’s details before you pull up. Pick a service, choose a slot, and we’ll be ready for you.
How much does a car wash cost in Santee?
Our Deluxe Hand Wash — exterior hand wash, windows in and out, full interior vacuum, wheels and tires — starts at $30 for cars and $35 for trucks, SUVs and vans. Every wash and detail package, with current pricing, is listed on the wash packages page. Final price is confirmed at the shop because it varies with vehicle size, and EVs are extra.
Do you take payment online?
No — booking online just reserves your time. You pay at the wash when the work is done and you’ve seen the car.
How long does a hand wash take?
Most washes are done while you wait, and each service shows its estimated time when you pick it in the booking form. Full details take longer — call us at (619) 562-0816 and we’ll give you a realistic window for your vehicle.
Do you wash trucks, SUVs, vans and lifted vehicles?
Yes. Large vehicles have their own pricing tier on every package, and 25+ years of hand washing means we’ve handled everything from daily drivers to dually trucks.
Can you wash a Tesla or another EV?
Yes — hand washing is the gentlest option for the big flat panels and soft paint most EVs come with. EVs carry a small additional charge, which is shown when you book.
What detailing services do you offer?
Full interior and exterior detailing — Complete Detail Service, Exterior Detail, Interior Detail, Dupont Teflon and Carnauba paste wax, and silicon or ceramic hand wax. There are also Express Mini Details, each of which includes a Super Deluxe wash.
Is there somewhere to wait while my car is washed?
There is — an air-conditioned indoor lounge with real seating, a cooler of cold drinks, snacks and candy, and Häagen-Dazs ice cream. We come get you the moment the car is ready.
Do you have a loyalty program?
Yes — a punch card that earns you a free wash on your 8th visit. Ask for one on your next wash.
Do you serve El Cajon, Lakeside and La Mesa?
Every day. Magnolia Ave runs straight up from El Cajon, Lakeside is a few minutes east, and La Mesa is a short drive southwest — a lot of our regulars come from outside Santee because a true hand wash is hard to find.
